week 16

With finals and end-of-the-semester deadlines to meet, I have not been working out this week. I learned committing to a personal goal is very difficult, but I have to say, that I have exercised a lot more often this semester, and feel much more healthier than I usually feel. Even when my schedule becomes busy, I still do my best to work out once a week, which beats working out once every month (as I would use to do). I've so found that doing strength exercises is my room is really boring. Something to change in the future- enroll in pilates or yoga course to make it more fun.

A situation in which I found it challenging to achieve my goal is when I come home late, it becomes unsafe to run in my neighborhood and/or I am too exhausted to even move.

Throughout this semester, my dog was my main motivation to change. I find that it was much more fun to work out with her rather than run by myself. She also loved it and would get super excited every time I get ready to go run. I've also kept my boyfriend up to date with my progress and he would encourage and congratulate me every  time I find time to exercise.

Barriers that I've faced and have not overcome-
1. time/school work-
2. energy- sleep deprivation
3. safety- On many days when I come home late, it's not possible to run in my neighborhood.
